Unlevelled sellers only see the requests until 10 unlevelled sellers have responded. Then it goes away for you. 

You should check back periodically, as requests gets released in bulk, so you have to be there at the right time to respond to requests before other sellers do. As soon as 10 unlevelled sellers have responded, it goes away, and only higher-level sellers gets to see the requests. In addition, sellers with Fiverr Plus will see the requests before anyone else, so it's to be expected that finding requests you can respond to is hard.
