Should we edit existing  gig to make it SEO friendly ? What are effects of editing existing gig? Kindly explain.

It depends. 

If your gig could be improved, then yes, you should edit it. But always edit with a purpose, don't just edit randomly. Purposeful edits to improve the quality of your gig can have a positive effect on your ranking and conversions. 

On the other side, editing your gig can also make your gig drop out of search results for a while, since the algorithm needs to "re-learn" your gig so it knows where to put it in search and so on. 

Some edits, like video, also requires manual approval, and that can take a bit of time.
