You should be good at social media marketing knowledge to get benefited.

You should promote your gig where real opportunities exist. Not by spamming to groups for useless impression.

It's not spamming when you're bringing positive engagement. The best way to engage with social media is what Garyvee talks about Jab, Jab, Right which is getting people to know, like, and trust you before trying to pitch to them. Of course Fiverr is more strict about self-promtion due to the many scammers on here. There are a few other ways of getting clients, but the best way in my opinion is creating interest in a community, get them to know you, like you, and trust you.

Back in the day, I did this but once. Despite posting on my personal page, it seemed like users of the platform were laying in wait to launch an attack on any post that linked to the site. Social media works for some but not all. Though now, some run into difficulties due to fiverr links being blacklisted.
