What are the best tips to get my first sale?

Hey there!

I just posted my first gig two a few days ago, and I've had no luck. I haven't gotten my first client, and it's kinda sad.

I've been reading a lot about tips and dos and donts to get new clients, but most of those tips are just ways to keep getting clients or ways to mantain the reputation, but they don't quite match what I'm looking for. I mean, some of the tips are like: respond to messages quicky and with a good tone. Well, first I have to find a way to get a message from a client, right? 😞
