Does gig description help in ranking gig?

If I use seo keywords in my gig description, is it going to help my gig to rank?

It will help your gig placement not rank. But note that so many other factors are considered as well from public and private reviews from buyers, order completion rate, cancellation rate, etc.

For new gigs, the priority would be getting an order and more good reviews. It would be difficult to be chosen from the search results as there are so many other sellers there with more reviews, experience, etc. Buyer requests is a place to start to get orders.
