Regarding on automatic bad review for late delivery

notameanie

Question

If deadline order goes to a very late status and the buyer is able to cancel the order and have their funds returned. The seller will receive an automatic negative feedback "Cancelled order seller failed to deliver on time!". By any chance can the buyer create the feedback rather than throwing the automatic feedback?

If the order is cancelled, there is technically no buyer and no one to give you an alternate review. So, no. You just get the automatic one.

Well, yes, and no. While you're basically right, that automatic 1* review does show next to the name of the buyer who didn't get their order and didn't actively leave a review. Which also is the part I don't like about that. It should show a Fiverr icon as "buyer" if it comes to that automatic 1* review IMO.

Well, if an order is canceled, the cancelation rate of the seller is automatically increased. So you may not see it but his/her gig already is getting a hit. As for the late delivery issue, it is subjective. Sometimes an order is late because of the seller's sheer incompetence, sometimes it is late because the buyer did not provide the required info or changed the requirement after making an order. A bot can not understand these situation. So it will require a person to interfere from customer support.

What I can suggest is that before making an order, you read the gig description, packages, reviews carefully, specially the negative reviews. You can contact the freelancer in the inbox. Then when you make an order, make sure you have provided all the required info in the order requirement form. These do not guarantee that you will not get a late delivery but certainly reduce the probability of happening it.
