Order cancellation or negative review? Which is better? 🤔

I would suggest from my perspective first discuss with client he is agrees and do some solutions to gather with client. If he still deny then suggest cancel the order we can again boost our level again but negative reviews put major impact in account.

From my point of view, It depends on amount of order !

if its like $100- 200 take the negative reviews, and you get a chance to reply to that reviews to share your side of story !

 

but it its just $5-10 and you didnt invested much time just let it go and cancel the order ! You may get more order to recover that cancellation !

Order cancellation or negative review?

when a order has been cancelled you can recover from that damage after a certain period of time. but when a client leaves a bad review that is an irreparable loss. you can not remove that from your profile.

If I had to choose, I'd go with the cancellation. A bad review is not only permanent for all buyers to read how badly you messed up with this particular client but it is completely guaranteed that not only they won't come back and your overall credibility as a seller is diminished, even if slightly.  You may be ranked down if you have one too many cancellations in a 60 day period, but recovering from a really low review may require a lot of happy buyers to average and smooth out the negative effects; plus there is no guarantee that a bad review won't stop you from losing your ranking if you haven't done a whole lot of well rated sales in the given 60 day period.

At least with the cancellation, if done on good terms, the buyer might come back with something that works for both of you or recommend you to someone else. Pocketing their money and leaving them dissatisfied is not a good look.

On the other hand, if you already have a really good track record and they are being completely unfair with their requests, and you're not really that concerned about this particular buyer returning, that might be a different story; you, the seller, would need to make that call.

I've only been in the latter situation once or twice, I still would have preferred to have honored a cancellation and have hoped the more toxic buyers found their solutions elsewhere..

In my opinion order cancellation is better than getting negative review. Because if the order is canceled, the effect lasts for 60 days. But if you get a negative review, it lasts a lifetime.

This.

You can recover from a cancellation but bad reviews are staying forever with you.

Recently, I was reading impressively negative reviews about the services of a Fiverr Pro. After reading them, it's a deal-breaker for me. You may managed to become a Pro, but you might proven to be very bad seller later. So, prefer cancellations over bad reviews anytime.

Tough one, but i'll look at it from the amount of time spent and money to be earned. If a buyer is really nasty and wants me to work for free, hanging the bad review threat over my head, i'll risk it and fight for my money. I have many good reviews so i doubt one bad one review will do much harm. 

If it's mutual. I am tired of the job and so is the buyer, i'll gladly cancel and wait  for my stats to pick up. 

For a new seller with less than 6 reviews, i'll say cancel. The bad review may hurt the profile since it is in it's early stage.

I also wanted to say that it would be better to cancel the order from a bad review. because reviews will always be from this profile. but cancels will not cause much damage.
