Hi I am a newbie on Fiverr I put a few gigs here but the problem is that they are not selling. I got just one order in 5days and there is not much activity going on. I need help. How do I get people to order my gigs?

Hi Pearl,

It can take a while for gigs to get noticed, but usually once a couple of orders have been placed, and your gig get’s a higher rank, the orders will pick up. It took a week for mine to get started aswell.

It also depends on what you’re selling and how you differentiate yourself from your competitors. And looking at the kinds of gigs you’re selling, there are a lot of competitors.

If you are selling the same thing as someone who’s got a much higher rank, then chances are they’ll opt for him/her over you, just to avoid potential trouble. That’s just how it goes. Both online and in the real world.

It’s easier said than done, but being original - or having a unique approach/style - always helps you get a head start.

Good luck 🙂

Hi and welcome.

As @doomdidoom pointed out, it takes a while for gigs to get noticed. It often takes weeks and even months.

A few points…

Fiverr Buyers can be a cautious lot (with good reason) and will put Sellers and Gigs thru a great deal of scrutiny.

Number of gigs…

Many newbies start off with too many gigs, thinking more is better. However on Fiverr it seems that less is often better. When Buyers see a new, unproven Seller with a lot of “New Arrival” gigs and no sales, it raises a red flag. It has been suggested many times that newbies start off with only 1 or 2 gigs to learn how the Fiverr platform works, before loading up their profile.

Profile…

When buyers read a Sellers bio profile and see a claim such as; “It enables me earn over $10,000 monthly.”, it may raise a red flag.

Gigs…

Traditionally, gigs that offer to “show you” or “teach you” how to earn “1000 dollars weekly” or “2000 dollars monthly” or “100 dollars daily” do not do well on Fiverr. It may be connected to the fact that Fiverr does not allow Gig videos relating to “self improvement, getting rich methods, black hat marketing and similar”.

There are many great Forum topics to help new Sellers. Here’s a few. Good luck! 🙂
