Won't Let me Chat With Potential Buyers

I can see the nick names on the screen but it won't let me click into their profiles 

or chat with them except just to offer them an offer.

If you're talking about the buyer requests page, you can send them an offer but you aren't allowed to contact them directly through the inbox unless they've contacted you first through the inbox. The only ones you are allowed to contact first are sellers when you are interested in buying one of their gigs. If you contacted them first about something you want to sell/offer them (ie. not about their gigs if they're also a seller) you could get flagged for spam and might get a warning.
