My customer paid for a service I don't provide

Question

I have a customer, who without warning or messaging me, ordered one of my gigs, and in the requirements asked for something that similar but different than the service that I provide.

If he cancels, my cancellation rate crashes and it harms my account. However doing it would constitute a huge waste of time as it would be setting up a brand new process (it would take at least 10x the time of my usual gigs).

 

Is there a way to cancel this order without affecting my stats, as he has not yet submitted requirements officially.

I feel like you could be lucky by messaging CS - if it's really that different from what you do, they might be able to cancel it without affecting your account. Be kind, explain without any 'big emotions' (in my experience CS doesn't really read those well) and see how it goes! (If they can't help, I'd potentially try to do it if it's similar to what you do but I'd worry about the risk of 'messing up' and having it cancelled because of that!)

I would just contact CS and ask them to cancel the order without affecting your order completion rate. Fiverr CS was able to do that for me multiple times!
