Hi UK sellers!

I'm Alex, one of the new UK community leaders and I just wanted to quickly introduce myself and let you all know that there is a virtual meet and greet on Thursday 15th July at 5pm (GMT)

It's a great opportunity to meet fellow UK sellers and hopefully, start building a bit more of a community amongst UK sellers.

I've been a freelancer/self-employed creative for over 20 years and while only around 10-15% of my work is on Fiverr, I think that building more of a community on Fiverr is an incredible opportunity for personal and professional progression.

As a freelancer, you never stop learning and evolving. It has been through the connections that I've made with other freelancers and creatives along the way that has helped me stay fresh, relevant and continue to increase the value that I can deliver to clients.

It's also a great help personally. Freelancing can be a lonely place and that can be magnified on Fiverr. It's great to make professional connections who understand exactly what it's like to juggle looming deadlines, crazy clients and the thousand other things it takes to be a successful freelancer, all while attempting to have some semblance of a personal life.

There is no handbook for being a freelancer or self-employed. The professional and personal connections that I've made over the last two decades have been invaluable to me and my business;  they have helped shape how I work, how I deal with problems and how I conduct myself with clients.

Hopefully, we can start to build that on Fiverr!
