Do you usually receive Payment beforehand, or "deliver" after your Fiverr session?

Hey, I am new here on Fiverr, I'm still trying to get a hang of it. I do coaching for Dota 2, I am still not entirely sure how to handle this though. Would be interesting how other sellers handle this with their Customers. So far I delivered after the end of thecoaching session(at least thats how I understand it is supposed to be done).

It’s only one way suggested by fiverr 😉 

your client gets in touch with you, they place an order for coaching, you give them coaching session, deliver proof of that in the delivery button and then client approves the delivery or it’s marked completed in 3 days if buyer is unresponsive and then money is released to pending to your account. 
 

however you need to be careful and ask CS permission first if you are planning to have calls outside of fiverr as that is monitored and strictly forbidden by fiverr and you might loose your account by accident if used incorrectly

Orders have to be placed and payment received through Fiverr system. Never receive payment outside Fiverr. Read the Terms of Service and stay out of trouble. Good luck! 👇

I am not aware of any "refundable insurance fee" here on Fiverr.
