As we observe COVID-19, it is global epidemic issue. COVID-19 is not confined to only one or few countries. This is worldwide situation. So people all over the world should be united to combat this disaster. All the developed countries and UN organizations such as WHO and others should mobilize their coordinated effort and resources to extend their helping hand to the least developed countries like Bangladesh and others. I would like to urge all the affluent countries and WHO to provide their more contribution to Bangladesh regarding the following issues.

  • Releasing of more funds for affording of urgent mass vaccination.
  • Cooperation for feeding  to  poor people living in lockdown.
  • Assisting to the Government for launching of effective campaign for awaring of people about the COVID-19 and wearing mask, keeping social distance and washing hands with soap.
  • Advising the administration for managing of tracing of COVID patient, isolation them and their nears & dears for quarantining effectively.
  • Financial aids for restoring of economic activities of small and medium enterprises and others those are badly affected by COVID-19.
  • Helping Government in developing of plan and effective mechanism for keeping running the physical educational process of all the institutions as well as making up of learning process of all the affected schools by COVID-19.
  • Providing assistance for capacity building for COVID 19 vaccination plant.

I am on behalf of people of Bangladesh appealing  here humbly all the wealthy countries and World Health Organization to pay more attention to COVID-19 issues of Bangladesh so that we all together can address the pandemic in Bangladesh and other countries successfully.

Thanks a lot for raising this vital topic in this platform.

Bangladesh sees record 201 single-day COVID deaths as cases surge

A total of 11,162 people diagnosed with the disease in 24 hours, taking the total tally to 9,77,568, officials said on Wednesday.

Bangladesh reported 201 COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday, the highest single-day toll since the pandemic started in March last year.
It was for the first time that the death toll had crossed the 200-mark in a 24-hour cycle in the South Asian nation of some 165 million people, taking the total death count to 15,593.
The previous single-day high of 164 deaths was recorded on Monday. The first week of July saw 1,090 deaths, which is also the highest in any week during the pandemic in the country.
A total of 11,162 people were also diagnosed with the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 9,77,568, officials said on Wednesday.
With coronavirus cases and deaths hitting new records, Bangladesh extended on Monday a strict nationwide lockdown by another week.
The Delta variant of the coronavirus, first identified in neighbouring India, is behind the surge in infections in Bangladesh, overwhelming its healthcare system and raising fears of a medical oxygen crisis.
