I don't want to be scammed into giving away work for free or having my time wasted with people who will misuse it and not order anything, but I also don't want to be rude or end up losing potential clients who just wanted to ensure my skills are right for their project. Also, I read that one should simply ask the client to order and THEN provide any previews, so if the buyer does not like it they can cancel. But that would affect the order completion rate. You are an artist doing portrait drawing, you described clearly what you will deliver to your gig pricing, also you have provided revisions, if they does not like your work they can ask for modifications with the 2 revisions. There is no way to work free and waste time, and cancelations. Also buyers can not cancel as they wish once the order delivered. catwriter Posted July 7, 2021 Share Posted July 7, 2021 (edited) In addition to what others have said, if you don't have a portfolio with samples already, create one and upload it. For example, you can create a PDF showing some of the styles you can do and upload it to your gig, and when buyers want to see if your art is a good match for their needs, just tell them to take a look at the PDF.
