Account restricted

Recommended Posts

From the Fiverr Help Center

There are two kinds of disabled accounts.

Restriction - means the account is partially disabled. The customer, either buyer or seller, can access the account, withdraw funds, complete ongoing orders, and review their order history. They cannot place or receive new orders, nor can they communicate with other customers through inbox messages.  Seller's Gigs will not show on the marketplace, and buyers will not be able to place new orders.

Once an account is temporarily disabled, the customer will need to wait for the trial period which can take upwards of 90 days to be completed to know if their account will be restored or permanently disabled.

Note: Customer Support cannot influence the result of this review, nor can they update the user on the review's end date.

Permanently Disabled - means the account was disabled and will not be restored. When this happens, the customer cannot log into the account at all, and the reason it was disabled was due to a serious violation of our Terms of Service.

Sellers with funds available for withdrawal will need to wait 90 days to withdraw, as described in our Terms. Once the 90 days are over, these sellers will receive an automatic email that will allow them 7 days to withdraw the funds.

Buyers can receive an immediate refund of any funds available on their Fiverr Balance.

You should contact support! Now they only can help you!

No, he does not need to contact CS. Once your account is restricted the only thing you can do is to wait until the team looks of over what you have done to break TOS and make a decision as to whether or not you will get your account back. There is nothing more to do.

Now that the question has been answered, let the useless posts begin!

what do you mean by messaging buyer in personally?

More than likely, it means they exchanged emails or other personal off-site contact and the messages were probably caught by the bot that will turn your message box RED if you type certain words or phrases. Since this person is new, they probably had no idea (even though they should know if they read the rules when signing up) that when the message box turns RED it is a good idea to backspace until the box is green again and then do NOT attempt to type the rule breaking or offending phrase again!

Now, the only other thing I can make of him messaging the buyer personally is he went to Buyer's Requests, and instead of replying there ONLY, he looked up the buyer's account here and messaged them here which is spamming and got reported OR, as some other bright bulb advised some to do is to look up the username people have here on the net and bug them if you find their personal websites, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.

So, a couple of ways they may have broken the rules. Now all they can do is wait the 90 days to see if Fiverr gives them a 2nd chance.

Why do I have the feeling though, that this one may just "make a new account"? 😒
