You wait patiently until your buyer messages YOU (as this has been mentioned before.) If that's happened, be kind, but don't be overeager. That will either turn them away - or make them realise you're an easy prey. Just be as polite as you normally would be to strangers. I usually just say 'hey, how can I help you?' (or something along those lines.)
