Look for ways to enhance your gig. Maybe your gig description could be a bit more clear. Maybe your gig images aren't eye-catching enough. Maybe your prices are to high/low. Don't just sit online for 15 hours stalking the Buyer Request section.

This is the only good advice so far. Fiverr is a storefront. Do you have a good display?

People seem to think if you keep a crappy store open for 24 hrs it'll receive more business. Instead they need to focus on putting up a new display sign out front, reorganizing the shelves, cleaning up the aisles, etc.

First, you need to make an eye-catchy gig, then tag also matters and description too.
In my opinion, you need to stay online, do practice more, do an excellent gig image, and Take a test on Fiverr.
Then, choose the best price among the other designer.

Worse, they keep advising buyer requests and sharing the gig on social media. So, not only having a crappy store open 24 hours a day, but going around shoving fliers for their store on everyone's face constantly.

From 24 hours online, it is not possible to get a job by sending a buyer request every day, I say from my experience.
Things to keep in mind: -
!. Properly do SEO.
2. Eye catching gig title.
3. Eye catching / attractive gig image.
4. Description (explained in short text)
5. 100% resource related tags
I am also new to fiber, I realized with a lot of research how important these are to me.
Not just for me, but for everyone.

There are many experienced people here, if you make a mistake in my words, you will see forgiveness with a beautiful look. Give me the right advice too.

I don't know who started spreading this rumor... But staying online 24/7 won't give you orders. Also, it manipulates buyers into thinking you are online, which you're not, since you're most likely using tools.

I had no issues connecting with buyers since 2014 when I joined the platform. I get it, things have changed, there are a lot more sellers, but there are also more buyers. Be original, create a great gig, promote your services, and you will reach success. Staying online non stop .. is just a myth, and dare I say, a sad myth at that.
