Hi,

Changing profile picture is really not that important. It is not a factor for the ranking.

It has no effect on gig rankings (well, unless it's a stolen picture that the user has no right to use, and the user gets an account warning).

It might have some effect on sales, though, but only if it's either so awesome that some people would love to work with you because of that, or if it's so awful that people would prefer to have nothing with you.

If you're new gig image is an improvement over the old one it may bring you more sales, so indirectly it could affect your ranking.
