localfool
I just need some advice on something and desire to clarify some functions of this website since I am new. If I decide to cancel an order that I bought I will get a refund correct? Just as well I am not sure, but I have had some difficulties with communicating with a seller due to language complications. I'm not sure if I should just pull out because of this, we did at least work out what I was asking for and I believe we understand each other now. Yet it still just concerns me considering we have a hard time understanding each other. Any advice would be appreciated, Thank you. It could be initiated by either you or the seller, but the other end has to accept the cancellation. Otherwise, Customer Support will have to intervene. 3 minutes ago, localfool said: we did at least work out what I was asking for. Is this an ongoing order and the seller has already delivered the work? Did he fulfill the order according to your request?
localfool
It is an ongoing order the seller gave me a draft of the work didn't count it as a delivery. But what he gave me wasn't what I asked for in the slightest nor was it a product that was offered in the gig that I was ordering from. This mistake was purely due to the language barrier between us, but still it wasn't anything to do with the gig I was hiring them for. Nor would it have been worth the money I'm paying. Ahh I see, yes that could be a reason for cancellation. You should discuss it with him.

theratypist
Here is the process in so far as to requesting for a cancellation for an order: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360010452597-Using-the-Resolution-Center (If that doesn't work out, that's when you reach out to Customer Support)
localfool
Alright, well we didn't discuss canceling yet more so I clarified my order with them. Their willing to work on it still, but I might want to cancel due to our difficulty understanding each other.
kreativzak
I can input one point, the Resolution Center does not do anything to cancel the order. Either you or the seller will have to cancel the order.

The Resolution Center is the very place where you initiate a cancellation. That's how you cancel an order, you go to the resolution center.

genuineguidance
If you do cancel the order, be aware that the money is returned to your Fiverr balance, not to your card, PayPal etc. While the language barrier is a problem, at least wait and let the seller deliver (via the deliver button, not through messages!) the actual order. If, at that time you are not happy, you can either ask for a revision (explain to them what is wrong - I know, you have probably tried this already) OR you can just go for the "kill switch" and ask for a cancellation based on whatever reasons you may have.
