Seller Payment

Hi all, need a bit of help with the fiverr seller fee. I'm a beginner in Fiverr. I got my second order recently after waiting for months. I faced a problem in the payment and would love to get some help. I had quoted for $20. Once I completed it I received only $15. I checked with the buyer and was informed that she has paid $23 including a $3 fiverr fee. What I want to know is whether my $5 was cut by fiverr as a fee. That's 20% of my total fee. I tried searching for the fee information but couldn't find a related page, that's why I'm posting this. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.

If the offer and order was $20 (20 usd) Fiverr should have taken 20% of that so I think you should have received $16 (80% of 20) not $15. If you didn't you could contact support and ask them about it.

The additional charges the buyer pays is something you don't get anything from.

Service fees are added at the time of purchase where you can review and accept the total amount requested to pay. These fees cover administrative fees. As of March 2021, the service fees are 5.5% of the purchase amount. For purchases under $50 an additional $2 small order fee will be applied.

Thankyou so much for all the replies! In the payment page it was mentioned $1 cut as TDS at source, I guess that's why I got $15 instead of $16. Also I finally figured out how to check previous payments. I guess I couldn't find it before since I was checking from my phone. Anyways, for my previous order, Fiverr not only took 20% from the order fee, but from the tip the buyer left for me too. Does that happen with everyone? I mean I understand them taking a cut from the project  fee (though I feel 20% is a huge percentage, when its larger sums its a huge amount that gets cut right?) but the tip is something buyer gives willingly from their side right?

They take 20% from the tip. You get the rest of the tip (I assume minus the tax at source).

If you look in your earnings page the earnings from the tip will be shown separately from the order earnings. I don't think it's clear on the order page but it shows in the earnings page.

Bingo! I had a feeling that was what it was for.

Did you fill out the India tax form yet?

And, yes, Fiverr takes 20% from all tips as well. I think they also charge a "service fee" to the buyer for leaving a tip too! 😒

Hi, I am new to Fiverr and have made an earning of $17. I am unable to transfer the earning to bank account because it is less that $ 20. Please let me know if there is any way I can transfer this earning to my bank account.

Thanks

There's a clearance period of 14 days that we need to wait for till fiverr clears our payment. This is basically a buyer friendly rule, incase if there's some issue with the order, since the seller hasn't received the amount, fiverr can deal with it easily.

  • 2 weeks later...

Contact with the Fiverr support team.

So, 2 WEEKS later after this question has been answered, you "chime in" with your 2 cents telling them to contact the support team?

For what? They are just going to tell him the SAME thing I did - you have to have $20 to withdraw funds.

Posting something, anything, just to post in the forum and move up the forum levels getting badges is not going to make you a success on the Fiverr site as a seller.

Just saying.
