How Does One Get a Gig?

Hello out there! On other sites, freelancers go out and try for their jobs. Is the same concept with Fiverr? Or do people find us? If that's the case, how does a newbie like myself in this industry get started by putting herself out there?

Hi @aliciamireles, on Fiverr you mainly create "gigs" and the potential customers search for them. So people find you. But there is also a section called buyer requests where you can respond to buyer's requests. You get 10 responses per day that you can send but creating "gigs" is the main part of Fiverr. Hi, Alicia! Welcome to FIverr and the forum! 🙂

You can get orders both ways, either by applying to a job (sending offers through "Buyer Requests") or buyers finding your gig(s) while searching the site for the service you're offering, in which case they can either order directly or message you first asking for a quote, etc.
