rasanganaj
I think that the home page forum sections move to right side and the new topics posted by the members, show in left side(where the current forum section has). so it will clear to see what are the new posts. If some one needs to see the other topics, they can see them on right side and scroll down to the section that they need
miiila
Among the 3 layouts you can choose, there's also one that lets you tick the category/categories you want to see.
uk1000
It might be better if we could have something like the old flag options like Off-topic or something where it could be flagged (with nothing negative) just so it could be moved to the right forum thread. 10
miiila
Absolutely, an off-topic flag/move to right category option seems dearly needed from what I've seen so far.
proeditor_rubel
Why is it changed now ?I can't see anything old system was better.
melanielm
Another suggestion! Perhaps the "Unread Topics" button should default to "Since Last Visit" instead of 365 days. That would cut down on people resurrecting long-dead threads with useless comments.

I bought a Mac desktop last Sumer because I have the kind of hands that when I touch a laptop in the winter the dry air causes a shock to any laptop and my computer would shut down! Now my laptop computer keyboard is slightly warped in one spot from that happening so often. 8

Under the Notification Settings I could only find: "Reactions These notifications will be sent whenever someone reacts to content you have posted." but I'd like to get rid of any notifications about reactions. I don't really need to know when someone I followed liked whichever post. Also of the notifications when someone I don't follow posted something, my notifications are just as cluttered as the forum, I can't keep up with them, and might well miss if someone I follow posts something I'd like to read because I get lots of notifications I don't want at the moment. I'd like to get notifications only for posts/comments (not reactions) by people I follow. But somehow I can't manage to set it like that, and I've been through all the options in Notification Settings several times. Not sure if it's not there or if I'm too blind to find it. I just unchecked bot of the boxes and I do not see reactions in my 🔔 drop down anymore. The effect was not immediate however. It took maybe 15 minutes. miiila
Hm, I'll try that and see what happens after 15 minutes or so, thank you, but it says "Mentions and My Content", and I do want notifications about mentions (sometimes people ask something and tag you, and I'd like to answer, and about "interactions" with my content, at least I interpreted "interactions" as "comments to my content", and not those emoticon buttons, as the 2nd box already has "reactions" (I think that are the emoticons (?) ... What I'm trying to achieve is: - no "x reacted to ...", whether x is someone I follow or not, and no matter what ... is - no "x (non-followed person) posted a topic in (category)" - no "x (non-followed person) commented on (not my topic)" and I do want notifications about: - mentions - comments by anyone on my content - comments by followed people on any content - "x (followed person) posted a topic" To make sure, are we seeing the same 2 boxes? When I login to forum today, yes ! it was changed as I hope. really good and appreciate the work done by the team! Taking the user Ideas is great way to develop any platform better, so I thank you the team for taking user ideas and make it real!
uk1000
Can we make the flags that get a post automatically flagged changed so they're more complex. eg. don't just auto-hide a post for saying x, eg. "24/7 online" if the post was actually advising against saying eg. "24/7 online" in gig description or against x rather than saying it's something someone should do. The current forum flags (that get a post auto-hidden) seem very basic like the flags in the inbox. Edited July 3, 2021 by uk1000 7
uk1000
In the old forum we could easily enter ** characters in the text to make some text bold eg. I think it was like this: **this should be bold text** Can we have something like that in the new forum please instead of having to select the text and use the bold button? 8

Yes I agree with you @melanielm When one comes online, the platform should give notification from the fellow's last visit or show unread messages only. That would be nice. 7

If you use 'ctrl + B' before you type something it goes into bold mode and for italic it's 'ctrl + i'! Saved me quite some time over the years, I hope it works for you too 😄 9
