I used to, but stopped.

Window browsers, lookie-loos, and scammers who want a “sample” that is actually the entire order are reasons why I’m happy with my decision.

I used to, but stopped.

I hear ya. It’s always a lingering question as to whether the samples are being used honestly.

Have you ever watermarked?

Audio watermarked? No.

When I did offer samples, I would limit it to literally one line/sentence, and that was it.

No point in working for free with no guarantee of an order being placed afterwards.

Has anyone had a positive outcome after providing a sample?

Not really if I can recall.

This was when I was just starting off, cheaper in price, and was getting a “lower quality” type of buyers, mostly resellers.

They most likely hit up multiple sellers, asked for samples, then sent the samples to the person who hired them to make the determination of who to choose.

The joy of dealing with resellers…
