Are you doing well , now ? it seems to me several first weeks are very hard.

The reality is that you joined at a time when everyone wants to work online and make money due to the pandemic.

I am a writer, there were a few thousand writers when I joined in 2014, there were 19k writers at the start of the pandemic (in the articles and blog posts section I mean), and now in a year and a few months since the last count there are 50k writers. And for some things like logo design it’s even worse.

How do you find out how many people are in a certain category or group or something…? Haha, I’ve always been curious how people are able to do this. I noticed @vickiespencer even counted those in a certain category at some point.

By using the search feature. :point_down:t2: This is for logo design.

OMG. Haha, I never bothered to notice that. Usually when I do a search I scroll directly through the gigs and to the next pages. Thanks Vickie!!!

I am also new, and still not found any order yet. 3 to 5 request found from the buyers a day. I offer just 1 to 2 buyers. But they didn’t respond. Don’t know why just waiting for a good time.

Don’t worry the right buyer will come to you.

I think you’re having a good start.
I’m here since October but I received my first order 3 weeks ago.
till now I delivered 6 orders but it’s fine for me.
To be honest I didn’t care about low prices on fiverr, as I said in my gig I invest quality time so I guess buyers who want a good work will find me.
I suggest you not to sell on low prices unless it worth it.

Thanks for warming words, I have got six orders 3 reviews, and almost 60 $ in 25 days ? is that really good ?

Yes, that’s amazing. Especially for a new seller in such a competitive niche. Can you share how you manage to get these orders? Was it through social media or just through Fiverr?

Well to be honest social media didn’t work for me but I got my first 3 orders through buyer request section then someone interested in my gig placed an order after I convinced him about my work quality and after the job was done he loved it and gave me another 5 star rate.

Though I think that gives the figures for the amount of active gigs in each category. Since some sellers might have multiple active gigs in a particular category it’s probably giving a higher figure than the actual number of sellers in a category.

Does sharing Gigs on social media really help?

sharing I don’t think so , but if you create a professional Twitter or Instagram let that platform advertise you, potential buyers may click on your link and buy from your gig but that takes time too and your products must be really eye catching, all the best.

Do you have any tips for buyer requests? I’ve been sending everyday but no luck 😦

It doesn’t work for me either, for each buyer request you see about 200 offers sent so your chance of getting chosen is about 0.5% and if you are a new seller it is even less.
