I sent screenshots of my conversation with the seller asking him to send me an offer but he insisted to br paid through paypal and i forgot it was against the TOS, due to that my account has been under review for the past 1 month. I want to know how long with the review of my account take or if it will be disabled. I can still open my account but i cant do anything

How can you “forget” that? I’m just curious how that is even possible, considering it’s one of the biggest no-nos on the entire platform, and even the word “pay” will make your chatbox red and give off warnings never to pay anyone outside of Fiverr.

Anyway - we can’t help you with this on the forums. If you’re under review, this is handled by the trust and safety team, and you need to reach out to customer support about your issue.

I have a question that it’s on my mind for several years.

I never tried cause I am afraid that my account will get warning.

If we write pay on the chat / email address, it will give us a warning right.

How if we need to write that word but it didn’t mean that we asked for email or payment?

For example, in my job I work on logo design.

If my client has a business name, for example Pay Through.

And then for some reason I asked (for example), is the name of the business is Pay Through or Pay Thru?

That will give me a red warning, but did that will have any effect on my account?

Thanks for the explanation.

Even I faced a similar issue. I was having a discussion about a draft and it’s related with FinTech and payment systems. When I typed payment systems it gave me the red warning and I also deleted without sending.

I was also wondering the same thing, will it affect my account in any way if I’ve sent those messages?

That’s common sense, Fiverr is asking not to do any ToS violation. They’re just saying it by turning the chat input box red because most of the time the term payment or @ is used, they think we’re trying to do the payment outside of Fiverr or giving email address to connect off of the platform or something like that. But it is just a warning.

If the entire meaning of your sentence has nothing to do with a ToS violation you must be 1000% good to go.

You probably won’t get banned for writing the word “pay” if it’s relevant to the job you’re doing and not related to payments outside of Fiverr. Bans are a manual process, but you could risk getting your account under review for a while. So if you can, try to avoid using those words and find alternatives. But if you have to use a word that triggers the warning, and you’re not in fact violating the terms, you should be fine. But I’d avoid it just to be sure.

NEVER AND EVER TRY TO COMMUNICATE WITH COMMUNITY FORUMS OR NEVER ASK QUESTION ON COMMUNITY FORUMS OR EVEN NEVER TRY TO BE FRIENDS WITH OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

Were you banned from Fiverr after communicating on the forum?

Yes that’s what I’m always do all this time, just sometimes finding an alternative word will make the conversation look awkward.

But thank you for the explanation, I will try to find an alternative word as far as I can if it comes with some word that violate the ToS.

I want to know how long with the review of my account take or if it will be disabled.

Restriction - means the account is partially disabled. The customer, either buyer or seller, can access the account, withdraw funds, complete ongoing orders, and review their order history. They cannot place or receive new orders, nor can they communicate with other customers through inbox messages. Seller’s Gigs will not show on the marketplace, and buyers will not be able to place new orders.

Once an account is temporarily disabled, the customer will need to wait for the trial period which can take upwards of 90 days to be completed to know if their account will be restored or permanently disabled.

Note: Customer Support cannot influence the result of this review, nor can they update the user on the review’s end date.

The above is from the Help Centre.

You will have to wait for the outcome of the review.
