Anytime you edit your Gig, it can be taken out of search for 24 - 48 hours or even longer.

No one here is going to have a definitive answer to whether or not you should edit your Gig and whether you could get your previous rank back. It can be a gamble - you find out after you have edited your Gig unfortunately.
