Hello. I would like to chat with other people who also do not have English as their first language. How are you adapting around here on the forum and on the website? Do you think it is easy or is it difficult? Can you talk to customers and understand what they want without difficulty?

I see that your English is quite good so I don’t think it should be difficult for you to communicate or understand your customers 😉

There are certain things that come with experience aka what questions to ask, creating your workflow, different cultures etc
But all in all you can get used to that

English is not my first language. I started learning it in school when I was 10. I have no problem understanding the requirements of clients or posts on the forum.

Not native english speaker, I haven’t got any problem, it happened I translated words i don’t know in google translate but all good.

English is not my mother tongue but English seems to me to be the best language. Because even though not everyone has the same feeling in their mother tongue through English, it is very easy to provide the feeling. I think it can be mastered very easily if you want.

Spanish is my first language, but googles help me to understand to comunicate.
Is not easy, but its not so hard i think.

Russian is my native language yet I learned English purely from roleplaying with other people via forums and online games and it helped a lot (via live interaction) to easily communicate with others. However, not all clients are rich on words or descriptions and sometimes you’ll have to ask specific questions no matter how many it’ll be, to understand a full picture of one’s order.

Ah, this is very cool. I learned English the same way you did, informally, with games and movies. Almost everyone in my country (Brazil) learned English that way. I will take the advice of asking specific questions. Sometimes such different cultures cause different sensations, different experiences and a vision on some theme and scene.
