The buyer wins again, 20+ hrs of hardworking wasted

The buyer will ALWAYS win and that is never going to change as fiverr is buyer-centric. So would you if buyers where your businesses entire source of income. They have nothing to gain by siding with the seller.

It’s either potentially unhappy buyer that will stop spending money on the site. Or potentially unhappy seller that can be replaced by the millions of others. It’s an obvious choice for fiverr.

The seller agreed to cancel this order.

I agree with the process that Fiverr doesn’t force order completion during disputes - even the sound of that is awful in terms of buying experience and would scare lots of decent people off.

Yeah it really sucks for sellers when the buyer is working in bad faith but that’s just the nature of the beast on these marketplaces.

They can even cancel after completion if they go to fiverr support. I’ve had orders cancelled months after completion after a positive review.

20+ hours is utterly brutal I do feel for you aha. My jobs are normally very short so it doesn’t bother me too much.

FIverr is a turd of a platform for freelancers. NO OTHER REPUTABLE PLATFORM HOGS 20 PERCENT OF THE PROJECT'S VALUE! THEY DON'T EVEN SPARE TIPS! CLIENT LEFT A TIP FOR ME AND THEY HOGGED 20% FROM THAT TOO! RIDICULUS. Fiverr is hella inferior when it comes to Free|@ncer's 10% cut or Upw0rk's sliding fee which goes as low as 5%! I'm glad I have successful running profiles on Upw0rk and Free|@ncer. Fiverr is the occasional place where I do one exceptional project for a buyer, get him completely sided with me and then ahem ahem.. Screw over Fiverr like it screws me over.
