Please Implement A Solution So That We Can Change Our User Names. Not Everyone Who Signs Up To Buy Realises that they will end up selling. And those who sell and have only 5 star reviews do not want to delete their accounts and start from scratch. Please care about your users. Thank You

Then again, people changing their usernames means that they will be able to ‘hide’ if they start to get a bad reputation.

A history can be provided of previous names in a prominent position. “This Fiverr previously did business as” and include a cost for this, something prohibitive but reasonable like 25$. Putting a cap on how often this could be done, such as once a year, would further prevent abuse.



My preference would be a one-time freebie within 30 days of opening account, then once a year with a fee.

Changing their username would not affect their viewable history, good or bad.

It’s most likely for the purpose of fraud protection in one way or another. So although it may be a good idea for some, chances are someone would exploit it for some kind of purpose or illegitimate gain and with that in mind, I don’t think they will ever be changing it. Another case is very possibly that the way that Fiverr is coded may require a complete overhaul of their database to change user-names without risk of creating bugs and errors.

That might be the reason. If you look at their urls, you'll find that they use usernames and Gig titles for subdirectories on their servers.
