As a video editor myself I use Adobe Premiere Pro which is complex so as a suggestion for something less difficult I reckon you should try out Premiere Rush which still has great features but is a bit easier to learn, this is a paid app. If you want something easier than that I would try iMovie (if you have a Mac), this is free or Windows Movie Maker (if you have Windows), this is also free. Hope it helps 😉
