Hey guys, I’m pretty new to the forum and trying to get the hang of using it. Anyway im a level 2 seller, normally i rank on page one but over this past week i keep dropping. Im now on page 17 for singers and vocalists. I’m getting really concerned and wondering if anyone else has noticed this or having the same issue? if so do you know what’s going on? I have a great response rate, 5 star reviews, attractive gig video, good completion rate etc. Im baffled and very worried as this is my livelihood. Any advice would be super appreciated 🙂

Hi

One of the worst things you can do is to stick only to a single platform if you want to make money online. The truth is that Fiverr can sometimes be unreliable. Unless you have a steady stream of work every day, any cancellations, late orders or anything like that can end up pushing your gig away.

Fiverr also has something called gig rotation. In order for everyone to get a fair chance, their algorithm offers exposure to you for a while, then they push you so others can get the exposure. It’s a pretty fair system, and you usually stay on the first page if you have a lot of repeat work and don’t cancel nor deliver late, among others.

I do recommend you to find multiple sources of income. Fiverr can be unreliable sometimes, and the last thing you want is to deal with those unwanted situations.

Check this out:

Hi there, I contacted the support regarding the gig ranking issue where all the good sellers with good ratings are pushed back to last page without any reason. The support agent answered to that question clearly so now we shouldnt be arguing over it. My question to CS: Greetings, So you are saying that gigs on first pages are being pushed back to give new sellers a chance to come up? Am i correct? I posted the part of my question of my inquiry, as rest had my other questions. To this the su…

Hey, thanks for the response. Yea I’ve heard that about the algorithm. Ive always ranked on the first page for over a year and now suddenly dropped for no reason. Ive had no cancellations or late delivery or anything, i have returning buyers also. I actually can’t pinpoint anything happening to cause me to drop unless it is purely just gig rotation. Do you know if they put good sellers back to the top of search or once you drop do you stay down there? Yea for sure its definitely best to have other sources of income. I did have a day job but fiverr really took over and i was selling consistently well for a long time, so i quit my day job. Really hoping things pick up again.

Even I’m the same and decided to check out my Gigs and I try to optimization my description and anything

Yea its rubbish isn’t it. Ive heard that its a bad idea to change your gig title. Do you know much about this? Have you found anything that helps you rank again?

I don’t think that changing or optimizing your gig titles, seo tags sometimes will harm you. Fiverr does rotate your gig depending on various factors. I think that right now if you could optimize your gigs and see what’s working for your competitors will definitely give you a little push back up on the spot. I would normally spend a week to optimize/research and it works for me. I don’t change the title too often, but I definitely change my gig images or slightly experiment with keywords. All the best, I know that you’ll bounce back.

Normally there’s a reason for that. I had surgery late last year, and I had to cancel orders. They removed me from search until January. As far as I saw, any bad reviews, late orders, cancellations will push sellers behind. Did you have a review less than 5 stars recently?

In my case, I have repeat clients, so consistently good reviews brought me back. But even when I came back, they added me back on the first page, then they removed me. Now I am on page 11 for best sellers in my category, but the first for my keyword. So… I don’t really bother that much with this.
