When did Promoted Gigs officially launch?

Was it this year some time in Feb or Jan? If so, that’s when my 1400+ positive review (4.9 - 5 Star) account, along with two best-selling Gigs in their category were sent right to the back of the search results and haven’t been able to bounce back.

Coincidence? Or am I now expected to pay for people to click my Gig?
