Hello friends, more than 2 weeks ago, I got along with one of the clients who contact me about my gig and I generated a custom offer for him and he approved and chose it, but since then, the order still in “Incomplete” status and I contact the buyer many times to submit the requirements and also send him an email. But he doesn’t answer me. Please, What should I do?

Welcome to the Fiverr forums.

Forewarning: Fiverr doesn’t permit contacting clients by external means (email), so you may end up with a warning on your account.

Since it’s already been two weeks, you have two main choices: wait longer, or cancel.

If you do choose the latter, go through CS by opening a ticket and ask they cancel without affecting your statistics, due to the client not providing the information needed to fulfil the order, and that you have reached out to the buyer.

If you choose the former, you can either continue as you have been (though stick with the Fiverr messaging system for all further attempts) or contact CS and ask they reach out to the client on your behalf.

I would suggest cancelling, as the buyer has already shown poor communication, and that is a bad sign. I would not be surprised that, if you do continue to pursue the order, you will not be treated any better than you already have been.

Well, the order is incomplete, so there’s no deadline. He could just wait more for a reply, as the order is not started. So it’s like he will be late or anything.

Hello and thank you for your answer. For the email, it is just an email to remind him to submit the order requirements. thank you for the solutions!

I would like to ask if situations like this always happen because it is annoying! The problem is that we talked a lot about the project and I dedicated a custom offer to him that he was happy with and I was excited to work on the project. After he has paid his money, does he go and forget about his project?

He may well have realized that he didn’t have what he needed or simply got scared of this project.

There may be another issue like a dead family goldfish but as you can see I have limited sympathy for this being a no-contact situation these days when the internet is on phones. So unless they crashed in the Antarctic and got eaten by The Thing, they ae probably being pathetic. Once your compassion has timed out either let it sit until they come back or ask CS to cancel it with no foul to you as once a leopard, always spotty.

Take care in future giving all your time to solve the business logic of their job before they hire you as I have been stung every time I did that. As someone here advised, you can always make a custom job to get paid for consulting on set up for their job. This initially sounds funny but is exactly how it is done in the real world. You don’t hire an advertising agency only after they made the advert. You hire them, then they start work (even if on films they do that backwards for dramatic effect).

🙂

Do you actually have everything you need to complete his project? Or do you need other details from him?

My friend, you are saying the reality, yes, this is the truth. Your words are wonderful telling a long story of experience in this field. Really thanks for the tips. I wish you more success. ❤️

Why are you copy/pasting what nidhalmessaoudi said? I see you are new to Fiverr - and have read little of the forum. Advice: posting in the forum is not how you get orders. Copy/pasting what someone else has said will make you look bad. If you have something of value to add to the post, do so, but, refrain from copying someone else’s words just to take up space here.

Don’t plagiarize. Don’t copy forum posts or on or off-Fiverr content.

The above is from the forum rules.

Actually, I don’t have the important things to start working. The project is about building a fully functional website for his business, so, what I need are: Business name, website structure,

design choices, components and its content, and if he has another requirements he can tell me.

When we were talking about the project, we spoke about the business, the project price, the number of pages he needed, the host and the domain… So unfortunately, he don’t tell me about the main things.
