I, personally, try to not focus too much on that. I’ve receive order while my impression and clicks were going down. I’ve seen gigs having more favorite than mine, but having no sells at all. For me what is important is if I get sells and if my clients are satisfied with my services. It’s useless to have a lot of clicks if nobody orders from you.

If it’s not the case I look at my gig and ask myself what I can do to improve it. Like I invested some money in hiring someone on Fiverr to make my gig video. It worked great, I already made my money back. I also invested in making myself a better working place, so I can work comfortably. This allows me to work for long period of time without having to take a break because of back pain. All things to make me more efficient.

During my free time I don’t focus on clicks and impression either. I use that time to research, learn and improve my skills. Knowing my weaknesses and seeing how I can overcome them.

Sometimes the numbers are going up, sometimes they are going down. Maybe I’m wrong to not pay attention to it, but not having to stress every time my numbers are going down is already a positive that help me going forward.

very very right …Realistic in your description

Anyone can share more effective suggestion?

Yes

Get out of threads like this where people share a few meaningless words and work out who you are really selling to.

Most people’s gigs don’t get off the ground because they go straight to trying to be everything to everyone and think that more visibility is the solution. This is backwards. Scatter-gun can work for Coke seeing it/they are everywhere (except my fridge) but for a freelancer, you are one so have to play a different game.

Sell something unique. Be unique. Even if you are an Accountant (apparently the most boring job in the world) decide who you are selling to. “Everyone” is a stupid plan because you are in-effect selling to no one.

I can Accounting cheap, unlimited 100% happiness

is a woefully terrible sales pitch as there is no reason for anyone to be interested, let alone respect your abilities.

I can cook your books so hot the FBI will never unravel all the money I sent offshore to buy guns for your enforcers, sorry legitimate business partners. Happy to pull 5-10 in a minimum-security facility as an optional extra. You can see some of my former clients in this lovely video 🙈

Please note this may not be a legal advert  but the humor should not take away from how it is:

  • targeting a particular type of buyer
  • showing real skills and
  • backing them with real results you have created

If you can’t do this then you can only rely on luck and luck rarely helps those who do not help themselves. If you struggle with this then hire a specialist. If you don’t want to do either, don’t waste time here muddying up everyone’s lives, do something else.

🙂
