It has been 2 days since I joined Fiverr. Hope everyone’s doing well. Is there any suggestion for the new sellers? I would like to catch up, thank you. 🙏

MORE THINGS YOU CAN DO

Before you commit to working with a company or a professional, you usually like to know who exactly it is that you’ll be doing business with. Maybe you google them, check out their LinkedIn profile, or take a look at their other social media channels. At the end of the day, we all like to know a little bit about the people we’re trusting with our hard earned money, and this is no less true for buyers on Fiverr.

On Fiverr, the first thing most buyers will do before they click the “purchase” button is check out your seller profile. It’s important to invest some time and thought into your profile, you want to craft a page that displays exactly who you are and what makes you unique. From your picture to your description, think of your profile as a way to declare yourself, your skills, and why your buyer should choose you.

Display your skills

Whatever your Gig is, whether it’s in graphic design, programming, writing or anything else, it’s important to find a creative way to demonstrate through your profile why you are the best choice for that category. If you’re a designer then you should have an awesome and visually intriguing profile picture. If you’re a writer then your description should be engaging and well written.

While it’s important to keep your profile professional, you should also let your quirks and unique personality shine through. Whether this means you’re wearing your favorite band’s t-shirt in your profile picture (even if it’s a professionally done headshot) or it means that you reference your hobbies in your description. Keep it subtle, remember it’s all about the Gigs, but show that you bring something special to the table.

Show your true face

It’s human nature to want to see the face of the person with whom you’re communicating. If you can have a profile picture that clearly shows your face, it will make your profile look more professional and will show buyers that they’re working with a real individual person.

Use your description space wisely

While it’s good to put fun or light-hearted touches to your description, each word is taking up valuable real estate. Don’t waste space on too many things that are off topic. Focus first on writing a clear and sharp description of who you are and then tweak it to make it more personable within the space limits.

When it comes to making your profile stand out, it’s really about showcasing who you are, why you do what you do, and the principles that guide your work. Treat your profile as an opportunity to introduce yourself to potential customers and create a space where they can get to know you and your professional style. A great profile inspires confidence and enthusiasm in buyers and is an important part of building your Fiverr business!

No problem! I checked your profile, and your description seems to be pretty good. Don’t see need for much improvement there. What you can do is make a picture for your gig to act as your thumbnail. You definitely want it to pop out and stand out. A perfect thumbnail is the perfect way to attract a customer to click on your “gig” and see your profile. They see that it is nice, they like it, they buy it!

You have to promote yourself because you start out on the 100th page or something like that. 95% of people don’t even go to the next page. They don’t need to. They have plenty of options. Your job is to promote yourself, (social media for example) so you can get your first order. The first 10 orders or about that will be hard, then they will slowly come faster and more and easier.

The best thing you can do is to respond to buyer requests. These are when a buyer puts a request on Fiverr that everyone sees, and you can respond to it and they might pick you. Many people respond per buyer request, so you have to stand out with your professional description and wow them so they say, yeah, I’ll go with this person!

I personally submitted 15 buyer requests that were top-quality and professional before getting my first order. It takes time. To get to buyer requests as you might not know, on your seller page, there is a “more” option at the top of the dashboard. Click on it, and you will get “buyer requests” along a bunch of other things.

You can then submit buyer requests naming your price and putting a good description.

Hope this helps!
