they do not properly found out their Gig,

I’m not sure why you’re giving advice to writers if you think that is a correct phrase. I can’t even figure out what you mean.

By the way spamming backlinks is not okay.

Really? I have never seen a gig appear via any popular search engine - i.e. Google.

Many writers on Fiverr think that simply because they’re getting paid $4 dollars that they do not need to provide the simplest writing they will.

No writer should work for $5 (4 after commission). This is an insult to the art of writing.

Also, you’ll never know who is on the opposite end of the service you provide and knowing that much by itself is priceless.

Knowing that a buyer is only prepared to pay $5 is indeed priceless information. It informs me that I would never ever want to work with them.

And I refuse to take advice on writing from someone who can’t even put a correct phrase together.

And nothing he’s saying is accurate. Posturing, I presume in hopes of getting orders.

Surely, 90% of the forum is posturing…

I’ve been guilty. Probably still am.

But I do try and rebuff the nonsense we see written, hopefully to the betterment of others.

I don’t notice you posturing but if you do you aren’t spreading lies to do it. You aren’t making things up or pretending to have special knowledge about things you don’t understand.

‘they do not Properly found out Their Gig’

This is ace but most of the buyers on Fiver will see nothing wrong with that.

I think one of the reasons incompetent people flock to Fiverr to sell is because they feel many buyers won’t be able to see their lack of skill.

Great point, although some people are so blinded by their ‘skills’ that they fail to see just how incompetent they are. There was recently a proofreader in the forums advertising their gig - and it was littered with grammar errors and odd words. But the service is cheap, so no doubt someone will buy it.

Some time ago, there was someone complaining that nobody was buying his $5 gig even though he was offering a huge amount of work in it (website creation or something like that). 😸

You mean this Best proofreading service!?

It was funny to see a proofreader have grammar errors despite having just a single sentence.

Err, well, yes! But I was trying to be diplomatic and spare their blushes.

Nowadays I believe sellers should sink or swim based on the strength of their own gigs. I used to try and help, but then I realised this wasn’t fair on anyone.

If a seller wants to claim to be an ace English proofreader, then let them I say. The market will declare whether they’re successful or not.

But I agree, it was amusing!
