Eradicate the bad tips and infamous tricks

There are 2 kinds of weird and negative posts I find daily in the Forum:

  • bad tips (useless “unarmed” tips from guys who feel competence while they are not)
  • infamous tricks (useless “dangerous” suggestions, against the rules)

And I see a battle, between the ones trying to clean the Forum, and the ones trying to impose themselves (I will call them, “infamous gurus”) with such bad tips and infamous tricks.

Honestly, I’m tired to read all this garbage. But also I don’t know what to do except saying thank you to all the “cleaners”, like as example @vickiespencer and @humanissocial . Thank you!

Said that, I will continue to remain in the Forum, because I love it, and I love reading the gems (beautiful posts) I find checking the Forum daily.

I see, you leave the forum for just a couple of weeks and no one mentions me anymore 😂

Jokes aside: I got banned for one day after me trying to debunk all this stupid myths so I’m not getting into this ridiculous conversations anymore.

Well only from time to time 🙈

I’m not the only one 😉 @humanissocial also went through that and just recently came back here and we still have a couple of other people being still in ban on the forum.

It’s true. I have been suspended from the forum for speaking against bad behaviour here. But I did just stay away for a lot longer than that afterward. I get tired of dealing with this stuff and need a break. I was suspended for one month but stayed off for two.

The mods seem more strict about keeping everything friendly than removing harmful things. It feels like I’m supposed to be cordial to people who actively try to subvert the system via the forum.

I was just going to mention @imagination7413, but @rana4944 beat me to it.

It does seem that way. But maybe friendly isn’t the correct word. It appears that compassion and kindness may be what the new Forum expects in our replies.

However, it is challenging to be patient with the same old same old, especially when some of the same users keep up their shenanigans. They think they are 😎, but really they are ?.

I understand the importance of being friendly, and compassion, kindness and so on. Yes, I accept it. It’s important, for sure. The problem is with the “infamous gurus” that capitalize attention on themselves. You can’t touch them, or you risk a huge flame, so it’s like toxic stuff to be managed carefully 😉

It wouldn’t surprise me, but perpetuating lies and ways to game the system and spam are the opposite of of kindness and compassion yet there is seldom any proactive activity to remove those, even when they’re reported.

I don’t get it.

And you’d think Fiverr would mandate taking action on things thet harm their reputation, but alas. It’s almost embarrassing to be a Fiverr Seller because of prevalent bad seller behaviour that either originates or is perpetuated here.

This is why I take breaks from the forum. It feels futile to speak out and nothing ever changes.

lies and ways to game the system

this is the big problem. Because they are not searching for tips to improve their page or to understand better the rules. They want tricks to game the system, and I really can’t approve this. It’s totally against my integrity, even just talking about it makes me nervous. These guys are ruining what we are building with sacrifice, talent and dedication. I work day and night, I wake up from short sleeps to reply in few seconds to my customers, I’m dedicating anything to my Freelancer career and I don’t want other ones ruining my career or other freelancers careers.
