Job wasn’t completed-please help

I hired someone to design a program. He was slightly late in completing it, this was not a big deal. However, he gave me the program with no instructions on how to install it. It’s not just a “click here and it will install” process. Now, he will not communicate with me. I gave him half the money, and I told him I would give him the other half upon successful completion of the project. Am I screwed?

Thanks for the quick reply. The job is $1000, I paid 500 for him to start, and we agreed that I would pay the other 500 upon successful completion of the project. The project is complete, but I can’t verify if the program works because I don’t have instructions on how to install it.

I think, you used milestone to pay in two times. If it’s like this, you can say for revision or request for cancel the second one.

Maybe… request a revision through the order page resolution center asking for installation instructions?
