Thanksgiving is coming

For people outside the states, I know Thanksgiving means nothing, and me being Japanese it should have no meaning either, HOWEVER.

I WAS planning to fly to the states last month,
My lovely friend WAS going to prepare a lovely Thanksgiving dinner for us
with all the turkey and mashed potatoes and pecan pie and corn and wine and
ALL the good stuff.

Obviously my planned was ruined due to the darn C*VID.

What was that? Why am I ranting about missing my Thanksgiving dinner here on the forum??

Plus I get the feeling there are other people whose Thanksgiving plans have been
ruined because of good old Rona.

@vickiespencer, I bet you are going to have a WONDERFUL dinner with
your family… 😭

Time to drink some wine to make myself feel a bit better.

Yes, we are planning a repeat of last years lusciousness! I am sorry you will miss out on Thanksgiving at your friends. But you could make your own meal there. Just look up the recipes on the internet and have a Friendsgiving dinner. It is like Thanksgiving only with friends instead of family. BTW, good choice of wine!
