Pre Authorization payment, card denied

I have been making payment through my Debit card without problems since long time… last time was one week back and now out of the blue my card is being denied. I contacted bank, they said before it was not same way before so it was going through and now it is through pre-authorization mode and they don’t allow pre authorization.

Can i get some help on this please … how come it was ok before and now i cannot, is payment here through pre authorization now ?
