Slow traffic with buyer requests

So my buyer requests page is having some really slow traffic. In the period of 18 hours, there have been no new requests. Is there a logical reason other than that it just isn’t that many buyers for my particular market?

I wonder, does the requests also depend on your seller level? I noticed many requests when I first leveled up as a level 1 seller. Since then not much bump in requests. Please explain how this works
