I haven't been able to publish gig in a month. I've put in my tax info and everything but it hasn't been validated yet. I've contacted support but they said to just wait a few days but It still hasn't been validated and I don't know what to do should I keep waiting?

It's now 2022 and here I am having the same problem. I shall be writing for future generations, now, it seems.

If you have tried perfectly and failed... please be patient... it takes years to master perfection, after all.

I shall be submitting a help request like the first pioneer who began this incredible thread's journey. If I succeed, I will record my findings.

If you do not hear from me it will be because I have failed at perfection and I only hope you will remember me well.

What I did was choose no to being a citizen after I checked my gmail. I was able to go to complete the process Then I checked the message box on Fiverr and it says "Thanks for filling out the form W-9. You completed the check and you are now compliant" . I went to my settings which is in the list that pops up from mousing over your profile pic on the top right then went to W-9 but I still can't enter my info in but they say that it was approved so  that must be it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tried numerous times with the same problem. Tried one last time...then saw towards the bottom of the page near the 'Publish Gig' button in bold text...That you won't be able to publish your gig until your W9 is approved. How did I not see it all the other times I tried?! lol

SOLUTION (at least for me):

I had this same problem, but the best way to get around it is to select "no" when asked if you are a US person, and then click the "yes" option again. After that the publish button was not greyed out again. Hope this helps!

When I want to edit my concert in Fiverr while it is in draft, when I go to the publish section, I get the "something went wrong" warning and I cannot fill in the "Are you a US citizen" section, so my concert is not broadcast, please help thanks

This happened to me as well.

If you're outside the US and the skills test page/W9 page (referring here to the page that asks you to confirm if you are a US person.) is displaying: "Something went wrong. Your gig was not published. Please try again" try the following:

clearing your browser data

Make sure you've verified your account on your email and cell.

This worked for me. Hope it helps.
