Launching Promoted Gigs

Hi. I was just shocked to receive message:

image

I have been level two for less then a month and I do not think any of my GIGs qualifies for promotion so I just wanted to share how it was completely unexpected to get this.

I am kinda scared now since they give me option to promote my two gigs that are already on first page all the time.

I have like 13 clicks a days without promotion, and being on first page so i do not want to risk anything with promoting them.

I will advise you give it a try

Please how can I get a promotion gig

I’m new to fiverr and I need it

The help says you need to be at least level 2 or TRS, though one forum user who is level 1 but close to level 2 has the option. So you probably need to be either >= level 2 or at least level 1 and close to level 2.

I see that’s the reason why I got that message, and I thought they mistakenly send it to me.

So I just got this feature and when I click it, it seems to only offer me to promote my best-selling gig (not the other two that I’d maybe be interested to try and boost). Unless all the organic clicks/orders magically vanish after this invitation, I don’t see a point of using this at the moment.

risk anything with promoting them.

Impression & clicks from ads counted separately, If any of your gig is selected to run an ad you may have a $10 gift from Fiverr. I would recommend you to try it.

hi… i hope you are well . my two gig is promoted about 15 days ago but they have not any impression, clicks. could you please tell me why? thanks

I already tried beta … and it worked for me … got 2 Projects ($250) … and i only spent around $4 in promoting Gig… More Exciting Things from Fiverr… Thank you

Well this only makes sense for people that have a pricey gig. If you just have $5 gigs, then you will spend more than what you’re making…

I would imagine those categories aren’t eligible. A top rated seller or level 2 is probably sufficiently skilled to not need to sell their labour for $5 and finally the cost of clicks is tied to the demand of them based on their inherent value to the person bidding for them.

Just like any market. Adverts for a category that was predominantly $5 would likely have a far lower click price.

I do sell at the $5 price point myself. And for me it doesn’t make sense to promote my gigs with this feature.

I really feel that my explanation of supply and demand as it applies to advertising was wasted

I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is saying that $5 pricing is for people that aren’t skilled basically. That’s obviously not true. I’ve been keeping the same $5 price for 7 years now. Anyway it’s your opinion, I respect it, I just don’t have to agree 🙂

Statistically speaking I stand by what I say. You are obviously an exception to the rule. Offering high quality services at a price that is almost charitable.

You are rare.

Your philanthropy knows no limits.

I doff my hat and beg a statue is carved in your honour.

But for the vast majority of cases that is the case.

Your problem was initially on the advertising cost.

I advised why you had little to worry.

Now you’ve moved your ‘problem’ to me now not being aware of your largesse to society with these skilled gigs, seven years in at $5.

The Rule — Not the exception. This is what is being talked about.

I was talking about myself. And in general, I don’t see the benefit of spending $1 to get a $5 gig. Or whatever the cost might be. I was invited to the program recently, but I still didn’t promote anything, even if my gigs are removed from search right now. I just don’t see any benefit for people that charge $5 for a gig to use this. But it’s a forum and we are all allowed to have different opinions.

Well it’s good to stick to the topic.

There is no $1 additional advertising charge for a $5 gig for anyone thinking this statement has been made based on any evidence.

It’s not, it’s just the user wants to make clear that were there to be a $1 advertising charge for his $5 gigs, he definitely wouldn’t want to pay it.

Now we are all clear, we can move on

You need to be competitive in order to actually have your stuff on the first page. That means paying more for advertising when compared to others. That also means not every person clicking will buy your stuff at $5. That also means you will most likely have to pay upwards of $1 to make a sale. It’s just an assumption, true, but clearly you can expect to pay quite a bit until you get a sale. I saw the most competitive prices per click for writing are around $0.10 or $0.15 per click. Not every click gives you a sale.

So, you should ask before judging. My initial post was that it’s too expensive for someone selling at the $5 price to actually make sense. It’s barely worth it if you get organic sales. For ad-based sales, you will pay quite a bit just to obtain a sale, and the $5 price also includes your work.

So it’s clear you need to spend quite a bit on ads to make a sale. Don’t expect a single click to giveyou a sale. Saying that would just mislead people.

Nowhere did I state what the cost would be for $5 gigs. Nor did I suggest that one click equals one sale.

Anecdotally we have seen others suggest that they have received gig sales for pennies, but i make no claim other than, if advertisers don’t see value in an ad, they don’t buy it.

Just as I wouldn’t buy a steak if it was 90$ and my salary hadn’t changed.

I’m explaining how pricing dynamics work in general as an economic theory. Elasticity of demand etc.

Please don’t add false context.

But we get it - if your being asked to pay $1 to advertise your $5 gig, you wouldn’t be happy.

Shame your writing is better than your reading, then you would stop pretending I’m saying something else, so you can make your point seem relevant.

Don’t add false context. Don’t be disingenuous as to what you’re replying to.

It’s somewhat contemptuous.

You replied to my own reply from months ago and started making assumptions. You’re explaining pricing dynamics, I just focused on my own price points and ideas. I suggest you respect my opinion, respect mine and move on. Clearly you have your own approach towards this 🙂 I was just saying that for $5 gigs, this feature isn’t really worth it. And it’s not, especially if your competitors click on your gig when it’s promoted, you just pay for their clicks and receive no sales. So you’re burning money. I assume you didn’t understand the context and that’s fine.

Clearly you don’t have the same price point I do, so it doesn’t make sense to argue whether my statement is wrong or not. It’s an opinion, which I believe is allowed on the forum.

Good luck, obviously I won’t continue to reply to this argument, as it doesn’t make sense 🙂 You replied to a post about the high costs for a $5 gig, even if you don’t have one. I respect it’s an opinion just like mine, but I don’t have to agree to it, do I? Let’s just end it. Feel free to use this feature, in my case it doesn’t make sense, which is what I said months ago.

Sometimes even top-rated sellers with excellent reviews need a little assistance getting their Gig in front of new buyers. Why? Because there’s tons of amazing talent to be discovered on Fiverr. But today we’re launching a simple way to help your Gig stand out from the rest, introducing Promoted Gigs.

Promoted Gigs provides talented and experienced freelancers on Fiver the opportunity to grow and expand their business with only a few clicks. With Promoted Gigs, high-quality freelancers on Fiverr now have the chance to amplify and enhance their business as well as grow their revenue.

What are the other benefits of Promoted Gigs?

Show your Gigs in prime locations. Once your bid is accepted, it will appear in the most desirable area of the page — the top.

Pay only for results. You’ll only pay for valid clicks, not traffic — so you won’t be charged unless someone clicks on your Gig.

Control the amount you spend . Set a daily limit to help control how much you spend, and update your daily limit daily to continue to outbid your competitors for prime placements.

Boost your revenue, maximize your visibility, and get your Gig in front of more buyers.

How do I set up an ad?

What Gigs can be promoted?

How can I change my bid?

How to manage my daily spend limit?

How do I deactivate my promoted Gig?

How am I charged for my ad’s activity?

Where will my ad appear and who can see it?

How can I measure my ad’s success and optimize it?

All information and questions can be found here:

top-rated sellers

One day I will be top-rated sellers , everyone pray for me 😀
