I need help getting my personal settings right - changing my screen name etc

Hi- I am a new user and need to adjust my settings so that my screen name is NOT my real name and also want to change the category. I’m a smart person and pretty computer savvy but can’t figure out how to do it. Can you help? Thanking you in advance…
