I am unhappy with Fiverr support, this is first warning for them

Hi everyone!

Both buyer and seller (me) sent them emails explaining the situation that we cannot cancel order because there is a bug in milestone projects so we do not see “cancel order” option.

Surprisingly, in morning, I got an email that: “This is your first warning. If you repeat this violation or continue to violate Fiverr’s TOS, your account will be suspended.”

So, I am unhappy with Fiverr support:

  • They did not read our chat we had on the order.
  • They did not read our support tickets.
  • They just came in to cancel the order (right thing because this is what we both wanted to do) but did not judge the whole issue what was happening and marked my account as suspended.

They gave me first warning.

I did not send another message to them because this is 3rd time I am writing that I am unhappy with them.

I am giving Fiverr support first warning, that if they are going to trouble me again because of their own bugs on Fiverr, and will try to do just the police part and will not do the lawyer/judge part, I am going to stop working on Fiverr.

I do not work too much here, I think I have worked only for 30-40 days in total and this is my income: $2,245.87

So, I am sure that they have got at least $600 (from buyer) + $600 (from seller) as revenue and they still cannot provide a better support.

I have stopped working completely and there is still $459.30 in my account as “pending clearance”.


EDIT 1: I have paused all my Gigs and sent cancelation requests for current orders. Do not want to work on anything. I am an emotional personal and I think this is my positive strength. No matter what happens, I am not going to accept that Fiverr is going to punish me because of their own bugs.

EDIT 2: I had a conversation with the buyer and he said he did not flag my account.

The terms of service are the Fiverr rulebook. Break them for any reason and you will get a warning or be suspended.

No one on Fiverr, and that includes you and me, are above the TOS. Abide by them and you will be okay.

It’s really simple to avoid most of the issues people routinely complain about. If there’s a bug, or you think there’s a bug, or another problematic issue that you can’t solve within the terms and policies of the site that you agreed to by signing up, contact support. If in doubt about something after reading the available info in ToS and Help Center, contact support.
They may not always be able to resolve an issue (right away), but you can ask them what to do or if it would be okay to do x in this case because y.

It’s what support is there for, to help solve issues “out of the ordinary”, but you need to give them the chance to help by contacting them when something out of the ordinary happens.

It doesn’t matter what was your intentions you still broke rules and you still showed it to us thinking that you are absolutely right because you don’t know the rules.

I came here in the hope that I will get an answer from support. I have not heard from them even in 3-4 days. They care just for the buyers as they replied to him on the very first day.

Success is on their brains. They earned $1200 because of me and I did not even deserve an answer. Never ever happened in my whole life no matter how big the company was.

Anyways, this platform is not even suitable for programmers. I will write a topic about the problems we face here later if I get time.

EDIT: The thing that scares me the most is that I work hard for let’s say 1 year and make so much money for me and Fiverr (20 + 20 = 40%), and become some level seller and one morning I wake up that Fiverr police has suspended my account and they will not listen and not even reply.

Fiverr Support/ Police are always trying to please the buyer, forgotten that it is we sellers that made fiverr a market place, we will take our market some place. Its so annoying how they will just take decision without even going through the chat, they are sooooo fast to penalise sellers, I think, they don’t think, they just do.

What are you talking about? They obviously read the chat because they solved his problem and gave him a warning because they saw that he was breaking rules.

No one gets to break rules and say that fiverr is not fair.

The ToS are not conditional.

As the others have told you, the issue isn’t that you discussed a bug so please stop mischaracterizing this as Fiverr misunderstanding you. You DID break the rules and you faced the consequences that are explained in the ToS.

The issue is that you submitted an empty delivery and tried to coerce the buyer into accepting it. That doesn’t become okay just because of a supposed bug. If you have an issue, you deal with CS. You don’t break the rules. They exist for a reason.

Accept responsibility instead of reframing things with a sob story to try to make Fiverr look bad for the mistakes you made.

Stop thinking you get a free pass to break the rules. You don’t. That’s not how policy works.

Come on guys, stop reacting and giving comments on behalf of the staff. Don’t I deserve an answer from them? What are you yourselves trying to prove here, is this a court, should I go into jail now, am I guilty? Did I steal anything from anyone? I broke a rule, unintentionally right? So, where is my answer if I contacted them?

You guys are just selectively picking up lines and sending your views on them.

TOS, TOS, TOS. Supports doesn’t consist of humans? Couldn’t they have replied to me also just like they did to the buyer? What are we? Just work for them and they will not listen to us?

The moment I started this thread I tried to interact with the support, but guess what they just don’t care for the sellers.

The staff have nothing to do with it. This is a policy issue.

All they are doing is enforcing policy that you agreed to and you broke. You’re acting like they’re acting autonomously and being harsh. No they’re only doing what the policy says happens. You’re just mad you didn’t get a free pass to break the rules.

If a pilot tells me if I don’t buckle up I will fall, I don’t refuse to buckle up and then sue when I fall and get hurt.

There is no grey area, nothing in your message means that the the policy doesn’t apply to you. I read your whole thing, not just a line. I know the circumstances.

I’m telling you that the circumstances don’t mean the rules stop applying to you. The ToS aren’t conditional and nothing gives you a free pass to break them.

I keep on seeing some same people keep on replying again and again on many/almost all topics.

They are talking to me about TOS TOS TOS TOS TOS… what?
I need my reply from Fiverr support. Too much to ask. They replied the buyer.
But, NO they did not reply to me yet even after 3-4 days.

Where is my peace of mind that they can I still work here and Fiverr support will always reply to me because they did not?

I have to agree that Fiverr was a bit late in replying to you, but as I’ve mentioned above, you still broke TOS.

NO REPLY my friend. NO REPLY.

They replied to the buyer same day.

But, I am still waiting.

Thank you. He is under the false impression his circumstances means he gets to break the rules and do things his way. That’s not how policy works and CS doesn’t become a bad guy for doing exactly what they say they will do in their ToS.

I keep on seeing some same people keep on replying again and again on many/almost all topics.

I need my reply from Fiverr support. Too much to ask. They replied the buyer.

But, NO they did not reply to me yet even after 3-4 days.

Where is my peace of mind that they can I still work here and Fiverr support will always reply to me because they did not?

They will respond within 10 days. You need to have patience.

The same people keep responding because the majority of forum members still don’t get that it is important to read what you sign (the ToS). If people start acting like adults, research stuff for themselves, and accept the consequences of their actions, then we wouldn’t need to keep responding to the same things over and over.

Why would they reply to someone whose grievance is that he didn’t get away with breaking their rules?

They didn’t reply to you because they had many people who didn’t break TOS contact them. You contacted them because you thought your warning was not justified. They get millions of messages like this everyday. Personally, they probably just ignored your message!
