@antomtjvc, It feels bad, you could have ignored them or just stopped taking part.

The solution to poor quality and unethical use of a platform isn’t to ignore it.

Ignoring it doesn’t discourage unethical people from promoting unethical practices.

Why are you blaming this seller for wanting this to be a better, substantive place that actually helps sellers. That’s the whole point of a forum.

Instead of encouraging people to ignore things that are wrong, why aren’t you discouraging people from using it the wrong way and ruining it for everyone else?

What are your suggestions to make the forum better? Don’t just leave like that. We are all here for purpose; To inform, educate, learn and even unlearn. Your suggestion could be bring the changes be it value you so desire.

Watch. This will get flagged.

I see it’s not, maybe you discovered the antidote to getting posts flagged, perhaps nobody flagged it, because people like being contrarian and proving others wrong? 😉

I have, that does not work. I flag many, many posts that belong there. 🤐

I used to simply move them where they belong, but then somehow my forum rep took an arrow to the knee and I’m neither considered a regular, nor can help move posts to the correct categories any longer. Seems to be a widespread issue, I don’t see the “regular” line on your profile anymore either.

That wasn’t a good move IMO, pardon the pun; even if we don’t hit some “must post x posts in y time” or whatever forum benchmark, it doesn’t mean we suddenly lost our ability to tell when a post is in the wrong category and where it should go.

Still waiting to see some positive forum changes from all those forum restructuring threads from way back. Maybe now, with analytics back, there’s time for that, and we’ll get some changes that go deeper than blue to green (though I must say, used to the green now, and like it a lot on my phone).

😂 I’m a pioneer! You’re welcome.

That means ignoring 90% of the forum. What’s the point of staying, then?

Are there any regulars anymore?

I’ve seen a few.

Ah, good to know there are some left, I hope they use their superpowers to help the mods with that low-level form of modding. If Vickie, and other former regulars, now flag posts instead of simply moving them where they belong, and then mods need to check the flags and move the posts, that means double the time wasted on those “menial tasks” and less time for mods for higher-level modding.

We always appreciate flags 😉 Now we have 4 new Mods on the team, we are on flag crisis.

Currently, We see an increase of user engagement on forum, so minimum post-reading for Forum Level 3 is reached the highest peak (20k/100days) & for this, most regular regulars(™) dropped their Forum Level.

To be honest, I have tried to leave the forum. However, my site blocker plugin just doesn’t seem to work on the Fiverr Forum.

It works perfectly well to block your basic filth websites and other general websites. However, for some reason the Fiverrt Forum is impervious to it. If I ever disappear one day, you will all just have to assume I finally figured out how to get it working.

I see, I just liked the system better as it was before, though, quickly moving a post where it belongs when browsing the forum is one thing, flagging a post (it feels weird to me to flag a post just for being in the wrong category), and then having to click the notification you get that the mods are looking into it, etc, to make the notification dot go away, it just seems like unnecessary steps.

So … that means most regulars got forum-demoted because they can’t, or don’t want to keep up with reading all the “Where are Analytics?!?” and “Analytics are BACK!!!” posts? I see, makes sense 😉

Hey, you and Chico can’t just leave without a goodbye post and let us assume the worst if we don’t remember the site blocker plugin thing!

I am actually out of the forum for some time. Oversaturated by many pointless posts just poping right into my face everytime I connect.

Also, I am having a major crisis with having no orders AT ALL. Don’t know how this will end but it doesn’t look good.

As far as I am concerned you have disappeared in too many places already.

I’ve only been active on the forum a few months. I’ve found it ‘mostly’ interesting - but even I’ve got to the point where I can’t stomach too many more rows of love heart eyed emojis whenever a seller with zero sales welcomes another seller with zero sales (sorry, sells) before telling them to respond to 10 buyer requests daily, to stay online 24/7 and to post their gigs to social media.

Fiverr has shot itself in the foot. It’s become overrun with inexperienced and incompetent new sellers looking for a quick buck. This has annoyed the longterm sellers who actually make money for Fiverr and who don’t tend to cause too much grief.

Within a year the new breed of sellers will slip away realising they’ve not got what it takes to provide a professional service, and in the meantime the longterm sellers will just give up and find alternative outlets for their talents.

The result? In my opinion Fiverr will be left a shadow of its former self.

And to top it off, some of those types of posters get to be regulars because:

Therefore, users who do have jobs and do not have the time that the sellers mentioned in the first quote have lost their Regular status. 😉

@cyaxrex I see you typing. It looks like it will be a rather long post.

You really wouldn’t like me in real life. I left my girlfriend two weeks ago by telling her that me and Chico were going to the toilet.

Err… Okay. Are you watching me right now and does your family know you have cameras in my house? That’s kind of akward.

To be honest, we all should leave. We could all make $$$'s by joining the affiliate program, before spending as much time writing about Fiverr as we do posting here.

@humanissocial,… No doubt you are right at my wrong point, just because I’ve written such a short version of my thoughts and feelings. What I learned from the time in my 48 years of struggle is quite short and abbreviated.

Nope, not watching you in your home, but I keep an 👁️ on your posts.

does your family know you have cameras in my house? That’s kind of akward.

To be honest, I would not know how to do that.

We could all make $$$'s my joining the affiliate program, before spending as much time writing about Fiverr as we do posting here.

But somehow the FF is addicting! It makes me lie and tell my husband I am working when he asks what I am doing. 🤐

I just might, you never know. But it doesn’t matter anyway, since we all can only ever meet on the forum because of the ToS 📝 and it’s perfectly possible to like people on a forum whom you wouldn’t like in real life, and vice versa, and to even like people whom you dislike when they post a story you like, and … I think I’ll just stop here. More importantly, does that mean that Chico uses human toilets, or …? 😉

To be honest, yes, but I guess there’s something in us all that doesn’t just care about $$$ if we spend so much time here … or it isn’t real procrastination when you procrastinate with something that brings in money? idk

(sorry I took so long typing, I was trying to find that smiley that grins sardonically while holding a contract and pen, but must be another forum I know that from ;))

No, it was our local bar. Now its exclusively her territory and I have adopted the fish and chip shop across the road as my new stomping ground. We have a new game now where we see who’s friends are who’s by which place they drift to as they come down the road.

It makes me lie and tell my husband I am working when he asks what I am doing. 🤐

That’s a bit scary. You are essentially having a psyhic affair with the web interface of a multinational company.

No, but I have to take him with me, as he doesn’t like being left alone.

Indeed. I am one of the most active forum users – and have been for years. I was even a mod for a while. I used to be a forum Regular, but was demoted to Member long ago. Since then, it would seem as if I am not allowed to be re-promoted to Regular, despite my helpful activity. Yet, I see other newer and less “helpful” forum users gaining Regular status all the time. I’ve often wondered why this is.

I appreciate this forum, and want to help make it a better place. It just seems like my hands are tied these days, and that makes it harder to be one of the forum’s most ardent supporters.

EDIT: It might be worth noting that my forum metrics appear to be well beyond that “(20k/100days)” “peak”. I have 1,200 days on the forum, 360,000 posts read, 12,400 posts created, 13,900 hearts given, and 26,000 hearts received. Some of my top topics created have over 200 hearts, with many others over 100 times liked. These sound like Regular stats to me. 😉

I wouldn’t worry, though. As I see it, it’s obvious who the cool people are. We don’t need no badges.

I feel like a huge shift happened this spring. Before, we’d have a sea of people begging for advice and a winning formula. Now they straight up demand it. And you have to provide it in the most polite and tolerant fashion possible or “kindly pass”. While I could tune the begging out, the demands are downright offensive to my sensibilities.

BUT I just bought a gig from someone with cute art style after seeing their “hello fiverr” post. So I can confirm that posting on the forum does bring orders. As long as you’re selling something worth buying.

I will admit, this has become a concern of mine as well. I don’t know how it could be minimized, though. There’s a massive influx of new users, most of whom do not seem to care about becoming a successful freelancer, they just want “easy money” (which is not what Fiverr is about).

BUT I just bought a gig from someone with cute art style after seeing their “hello fiverr” post. So I can confirm that posting on the forum does bring orders. As long as you’re selling something worth buying.

That last part is important as well. Many new sellers have not developed any marketable skills. Sadly, they don’t seem to see this as an important factor in their success. Fiverr is not a get-rich-quick website, but someone – somewhere – seems to be telling them that it is.
