I received a message from a buyer. He asked me to do some photo editing. I made the custom order and sent it to him but he is not accepting it and he is asking me to send the edited pics to him first. I just want to know is this normally what happens? What if I send him the photos and he simply doesn’t buy the gig?

He is trying to scam you. You should only start working after the buyer has placed the order.

you don’t have to start your work before place the order. in this case you don’t have to deliver their files

Well, in my case since I like to work and have fun too, what I would do is do the photo editing, then erased half the image and ask him to buy gig if he wants other half 😛

To be clear - this will be a scam. Fiverr does not work this way.

If you do the work you will have no protection from Fiverr as no order will have been placed.
