Scammed by buyer today

5 days back a buyer contacted me a placed an order. It was related to sms API so he wanted requirements like whenever someone makes a call on his api number then it should be forward to his personal number. Before placing an order he wanted to see a live demo of my previous work so i asked him about anydesk software to share screen but he said he use only skyyype and zoom. So for sharing screen we used skyyype and i showed him a live work demo. And he although started conversation related to order. But when i was developing a solution he asked me to store values in database as well so i said him that after this work i will do that and this will be a separate task. Then next day when i was about to deliver he said have you done data storing part. I said i will do after this one and you have to buy another gig for this then he said you told me yesterday that you will do it after this task and now you are scamming and he said do it now or i will cancel the order after that when i done the data storing task and delivered he asked me more modification request and was doing tricks with me not accepting my delivery. And also abused me over skyyype and said you have to do it otherwise i will cancel the order and again he called me a scammer. I totally refused the modification request and said its not a part of placed order. Then he initiated the cancellation request which i declined but today fiverr support canceled the order and my effort and expected money is wasted and he ran away with delivered work.

I am sorry that this happened to you, but it is against Fiverr’s Terms of Service to communicate outside of Fiverr.

Buyers who want to communicate outside the platform are almost always trying to scam you. Fiverr cannot sanction any threatening communication that takes place outside the platform. That is why it is safest for both you and the buyer to communicate directly on the Fiverr platform.

yeah i know that but i didn’t have choice at that time to share my work demo. but we used fiverr for order placement.

and one more thing why fiverr cancelled the order even i submitted a ticket about bad behavior and also told them about skyyype platform three days back.

You always have a choice.

Maybe they canceled the order because you communicated outside the platform (which breaks their rules) and that they, therefore, did not have any proof that any bad behavior took place from the buyer’s side.

If I were you, I would take it up with CS, so they can decide whether your gig warrants contacting your buyer outside the platform or not.

i already provided them conversation pictures of skyyype of buyer. also its on record of order chat page where he is calling me a scammer again and again.

I have few regular clients for whom I have done dozens of orders…they even asked me many time to save fiverr fees and work out side, but I never did and I never will…
Even I trust them I would be honest to platform !

Fiverr cannot sanction what goes on outside the site, especially not when you agreed to communicate outside the platform. Showing CS a screenshot of a conversation going on outside the platform is still not proof. Fiverr has no way of checking if it is true or not.

You have to accept the consequences of breaking the rules.

be more careful next time…

I have few regular clients for whom I have done dozens of orders…they even asked me many time to save fiverr fees and work out side, but I never did and I never will…

Even I trust them I would be honest to platform !

yeah you are right . this will not going to be happen again in future. i used outside platform just to share screen not for dealing outside

I would say thats not true…I have experience my self…many time CS rescued me and even now…

I am facing automatically cancelled order and CS is trying to compensate me for that fraud…

They instantly reply my ticket in just 10 minutes and checked in my case…

They don’t always take the customer’s side. I have gotten many buyers banned from Fiverr.

thats what I am saying…Everybody have their stories so

Customer is always king on this platform

is not true…you cant say “Always” that what I meant…because I had not that experience and that thing it self break the chain…! ( if it was untill now )
