How do you promote gigs?

Hi. I’m struggling with my account, as I have created it around two weeks ago and I still haven’t got a single message from possible customers, let alone any orders.
I’m reading the topics on this forum, about people talking how they got two orders after just three days and similar stuff.
I have a question to all “superb-fiverros” out there that are really successful: How do you promote your gigs? What are your tips for getting orders?
