I was shocked by this buyer!

Okay, I got a message from a buyer telling me to scrape some details from a website called OLX as a sample. So I told him, how much data do you need as a sample and he told me he need atleast around 7000 data scraped. So I though it was a scam because he could use these data and not need to pay me and I ended up reporting him.

Generally legit buyer don’t ask for free. They pay small amount for small test job.

I’m not sure reporting him was necessary. You could have just said you don’t provide samples or don’t provide samples of scraping over x amount of lines/data items.
